VRAPP at Height: Innovation in Height Training

Discover a new age of education with VRAPP at Height, a future-proof training system that uses virtual reality to teach and practice safe work at height. It is perfect for professionals and companies operating in the manufacturing, energy, telecommunications and construction industry sectors. Immerse yourself in scenarios as realistic as life.

Supporting WAH training with virtual reality

“Supporting work at height training with virtual reality” is a research project aimed at developing an effective training method which would potentially have an additional therapeutic impact on persons who both display a fear of heights and those who don’t.

The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under Sub-Measure: 1.2.1 Research and development projects of enterprises of the Regional Operational Programme of the Malopolska Region 2014-2020.

The main objective of VR-aided training is improving the efficiency of learning.

Research conducted so far indicates that learning using Virtual Reality technology is more effective and efficient compared to traditional training. By repeatedly repeating an exercise under the guidance of a rigorous virtual instructor, the trainee begins to remember to fasten the belay, turn the carabiner, etc. The virtual instructor will not allow them to complete the exercise if each step isn’t performed correctly and in the appropriate order.

VR training compliments traditional WAH training, offered by us in the Polish market since 1997. We can provide training courses tailored to work at height performed in such industry sectors and environments as:
  • construction industry
  • manufacturing industry
  • telecommunications
  • energy industry
  • working in confined spaces

ADVANTAGES OF VR TRAINING

Individuals take part in VR training, not entire groups. This contributes to less disruption in the day-to-day operations of an industrial plant in comparison to group trainings.

Employees taking part in Virtual Reality trainings can refresh their knowledge on belaying techniques and other information acquired during conventional training.

Through VR simulations participants will be reminded of how dangerous a factor height is for workers. Persons who have carried out operations at height for a long time in their career might be prone to routine behaviours, which can lead to serious accidents. VR can help break this routine attitude.

VR offers the opportunity for the exercise to be repeated as many times as necessary, until the desired result is achieved.

VR TRAINING PRESENTATIONS

A VR training demonstration adds variety to a conference by actively engaging participants. Learning through play (many different training game scenarios and settings are available). Participants can safely test their height aptitude in a variety of scenarios. Thanks to VR simulations, people who are new to working at height have the chance to perceive height as a particularly dangerous factor at work.

Persons who have carried out operations at height for a long time in their career might be prone to routine behaviours, which can lead to serious accidents. VR can help to break this routine attitude.

We deliver VR training and presentations in any location specified by the client. We also offer the possibility to rent VR equipment with a ready-made package of training modules.
