Our story
Rock Master was founded by Mariusz Gołkowski in 1990. The initial objective was, broadly speaking, to provide mountain training: both in the technique of rock climbing as well as mountaineering. The experience gathered in those fields as competitive sports as well as using climbing techniques for work at height in the 1980s, combined with several years of school teaching practice and a professional teaching qualifications as instructor of the Polish Mountaineering Association provided Mariusz Gołkowski with a solid basis for running a high-end training company. In 1992, Mariusz Gołkowski opened the first commercial climbing wall in Poland –"Wieża" in Krakow. In 1997, Rock Master expanded its operations and started providing the first trainings in the field of safe work at height for telecommunications, energy, construction, and manufacturing industry.
